Sad+ Health – Pilot projects in five regions

“Sad +Health is a differentiated, community-based and community-based social response consisting of the provision of a set of individualised social support services and care to people who, because of their dependency, disability or incapacity, cannot, on their own, ensure that their basic needs are met.
Sad+ Health should provide a wide range of services in the patient's home, with humanized care, focused on people's needs and life expectations, always in complementarity with other services or social responses.
The pilot projects, to which entities from the Social and Solidarity Sector can apply, will have a duration of six months, extendable by a further six. At the end of the period of validity of the pilot projects, the SAD+ Saúde response will be subject to review and regulation, by joint order of the members of the Government responsible for the areas of finance, social security and health.
After publication of the Ministerial Implementing Order No 324/2025/1, of 3 October, the period for submission of applications for pilot projects for the creation and implementation of Home Support Service SAD+Health, which runs between 10:00 a.m. on 7 November 2025 and the 5 p.m. on 2 December 2025.
