Childminder
A social response delivered through a service provided by a person who, in return for payment for the activity carried out, looks after children up to three years of age in their own home, or until they reach the age of entry into pre-school education establishments, for a period corresponding to the family’s working hours or impediment.
Family Nursery
A social response delivered through a service provided by a group of childminders no fewer than 4, who carry out their activity within an overseeing institution that has a Nursery. 
Nursery
A social response delivered in a socio-educational facility, designed to support the family and the child up to three years of age, during the period corresponding to the parents’—or those exercising parental responsibilities’—impediment.
Pre-school Education Establishment
A response, delivered in a facility, designed for the child’s development, providing educational activities and activities to support the family.
Leisure Time Activities Centre
A social response delivered in a facility or service, of a socio-educational nature, designed to support the child and the family, providing supervised activities, leisure and specific activities. Intended for children from the age of 6, during the period corresponding to the parents’—or those exercising parental responsibilities’—impediment.
Early Childhood Intervention 
A response delivered through a service that promotes integrated support, centred on the child and the family, including preventive and rehabilitative actions, namely within the fields of education, health and social action.
Support Home
A social response, delivered in a facility, intended to accommodate children and young people with special educational needs who need to attend specific support structures located far from their usual place of residence or who, due to proven family needs, temporarily require a substitute response to the family.
Transport for Persons with Disabilities
A social response delivered through a collective service that ensures transport, support and personalised assistance for children, young people and adults with disabilities.
Family Support and Parental Counselling Centre
A social response delivered through specialised support to families with children and young people, aimed at preventing and remedying psychosocial risk situations by developing the families’ parental, personal and social skills.
Street Outreach Teams Supporting Children and Young People
A social response, delivered through a service, intended to support children and young people who are socially and family-disconnected and who display deviant behaviours, and who are in a situation of danger.
Family Foster Care for Children and Young People
A social response, within the implementation of a promotion and protection measure, delivered through a service and consisting of entrusting the child or young person to an individual or a family, duly qualified for that purpose, with a view to providing integration into a stable family environment that guarantees care appropriate to their needs and well-being, as well as the education and affection necessary for their full development.
Reception Home for Emergency Situations 
A social response, within the implementation of a promotion and protection measure, delivered in a facility, intended for urgent reception determined by the need for immediate protection in a situation of current or imminent danger to life or of serious compromise of the child’s or young person’s physical or psychological integrity, requiring appropriate procedures, based on the application of a promotion and protection measure.
Reception Home 
A social response, within the implementation of a promotion and protection measure, delivered in a social support facility, which aims to remove the child or young person from the situation of danger, and may include residential units and/or specialised residential units, taking into account the situations, issues and specific characteristics of the children and young people to be accommodated.
Reception Home with a Youth Autonomy Support and Promotion Unit 
A social response, within the implementation of a promotion and protection measure, delivered in housing spaces (autonomy apartment), intended to prepare young people for working life, provided they demonstrate responsibility, skills and potential, and their individuality and privacy must be safeguarded so that they can progressively acquire autonomy in life.
Socio-educational Activities (CPL - awaiting regulatory framework)
A socio-educational intervention aimed at children and young people, in particular those who are in danger and at risk, implemented through inclusive preventive personal projects, in coordination with their respective families and other partners.
Home Support Service
A social response, delivered from a facility, consisting of providing care and services to families and/or people in their own home, in a situation of physical and/or psychological dependency and who cannot, temporarily or permanently, ensure the satisfaction of their basic needs and/or the performance of instrumental activities of daily living.
Social Club
A social response, delivered in a facility, supporting socio-recreational and cultural activities, organised and facilitated with the active participation of older people in a community.
Day Centre
A social response, delivered in a facility, consisting of providing a set of services that contribute to keeping older people in their socio-family environment.
Night Centre
A social response, delivered in a facility, consisting of night-time accommodation for older people with autonomy who remain in their own home during the day and who, due to experiencing situations of loneliness, isolation and insecurity, need support during the night.
Family Foster Care for Older People
A social response consisting of integrating older people and adults with disabilities into the home of families considered suitable, on a temporary or permanent basis.
Residential Facility for Older People
A social response delivered in a facility, intended for collective accommodation, for temporary or permanent use, where social support activities are developed and nursing care is provided.
Social Care, Support and Rehabilitation Centre for Persons with Disability and Incapacity 
A social response, delivered in a facility, intended to provide a specialised service that ensures reception, support and the social rehabilitation process for people with disability and incapacity, and provides skills development and support services to their families or informal carers.
Home Support Service
A social response, delivered from a facility, consisting of providing care and services to families and/or people in their own home, in a situation of physical and/or psychological dependency and who cannot, temporarily or permanently, ensure the satisfaction of their basic needs and/or the performance of instrumental activities of daily living.
Inclusion Activities and Skills Development Centre 
A social response, delivered in a facility, intended to develop occupational activities for people with disabilities, aiming to promote their quality of life, enabling greater access to the community, its resources and activities, and constituting a means of skills development for inclusion, according to their needs, abilities and level of functioning.
Family Foster Care for Adults with Disabilities
A social response consisting of integrating older people and adults with disabilities into the home of families considered suitable, on a temporary or permanent basis. 
Residential Home
A social response, delivered in a facility, intended for collective accommodation, for temporary or permanent use, for people with disabilities and incapacity who are prevented from living in their family environment.
Autonomy and Inclusion Residence 
AIR is a temporary or permanent residential accommodation response, delivered in a flat, house or other similar type of housing, located in residential areas within the community, intended for a person with disability or incapacity who is able to live independently, and aims, through individualised support, to provide conditions for the implementation of an independent and inclusive life project.
Transport for Persons with Disabilities
A social response delivered through a collective service that ensures transport, support and personalised assistance for children, young people and adults with disabilities. 
Independent Living Support Service (ILSS) under MAVI
A social response based on the development of the Independent Living Support Model (MAVI). Personal assistance corresponds to a specialised independent living support service, through which support is provided to the person with disability or incapacity to carry out activities which, due to the limitations arising from their interaction with environmental conditions, they cannot carry out by themselves.
Home Support Service
A social response, delivered from a facility, consisting of providing care and services to families and/or people in their own home, in a situation of physical and/or psychological dependency and who cannot, temporarily or permanently, ensure the satisfaction of their basic needs and/or the performance of instrumental activities of daily living.
Integrated Home Support
A response implemented through a set of multidisciplinary, flexible, comprehensive, accessible and coordinated actions and care, providing social and health support in the home.
Integrated Support Unit 
An integrated intervention response combining healthcare and social support, delivered in a facility, which aims to provide temporary, global and integrated care to people who, due to dependency, cannot remain supported in their own home, but who do not require clinical inpatient hospital care.
Socio-Occupational Forum
A response, delivered in a facility, intended for people with a disadvantage, temporary or permanent, of psychological origin, aiming at their socio-family and/or professional reintegration or their possible integration into training programmes or sheltered employment.
Protected Living Unit
A response delivered in a housing structure intended for adults with severe mental illness of chronic evolution, clinically stable, who require autonomy training.
Independent Living Unit
A response delivered in a housing structure located in the community, intended for adults with severe, stabilised mental illness of chronic evolution, with autonomous capacity, enabling their integration into vocational training programmes or into normal or sheltered employment, and with no satisfactory residential alternative.
Supported Living Unit
A response, delivered in a facility, intended for adults who, due to chronic mental limitation and serious social factors, have reached a level of disadvantage that does not allow them to organise daily living activities without support, but who do not require frequent medical intervention.
Street Outreach Team for Homeless People
A social response, delivered through a service provided by a multidisciplinary team, which establishes an approach with people who are homeless, aiming to improve the living conditions of this population.
Occupational Workshop
A social response, delivered in a facility, intended to support the adult homeless population, with a view to rehabilitating their social capacities and skills, through the development of activities integrated into structured programmes that require regular participation by the individual, or flexible programmes where attendance depends on their availability and motivation.
Housing First
A response that provides permanent, individualised housing supported by a diverse set of social support services, in close liaison with other community resources and with appropriate technical support, in order to promote social inclusion and autonomy.
Shared Apartment
A response in a shared housing context with a transitional and temporary character,  which aims to guarantee the homeless person a supported housing response, backed by a diverse set of social support services, in close liaison with other community resources and with appropriate technical support, in order to promote social inclusion and autonomy.
Social Care and Support Service 
The Social Care and Support Service (SAAS) is a service that ensures reception and support for people and families in situations of vulnerability and social exclusion, as well as social emergencies.
Self-Help Group
A social response, delivered through small mutual-aid groups, organised and made up of people who are experiencing or have experienced similar adversity, aiming to provide emotional support that helps overcome instability and find positive solutions and strategies, through sharing experience and exchanging information.
Community Centre
A social response, delivered in a facility, where services are provided and activities are developed which, in an articulated way, tend to constitute an animation hub with a view to preventing social problems and defining a local development project, collectively assumed.
Holiday and Leisure Centre
A social response, delivered in a facility, intended to meet leisure needs and break routine, essential to physical, psychological and social balance.
Social Canteen/Mess Hall
A social response, delivered in a facility, intended to provide meals, especially for people and families with social and economic vulnerability or fragility, and may include other activities, namely personal hygiene and laundry treatment.
Life Support Centre
A social response, delivered in a facility, designed to support and accompany pregnant or postpartum women with newborn children, who are at emotional or social risk.
Integration Community
A social response, delivered in a facility, with or without accommodation, aimed at groups of individuals and/or families who are in a situation of exclusion, marginalisation or social vulnerability, where a set of integrated actions is developed, with appropriate technical support, enabling greater access to the community, its resources and activities, with a view to their autonomy and social inclusion.
Temporary Accommodation Centre
A social response, delivered in a facility, which aims to provide accommodation, for a limited period of time, for adults in a situation of deprivation, with a view to referral to the most appropriate social response.
Food Aid
A social response, delivered through a service, which provides the distribution of foodstuffs through associations or non-profit entities, contributing to resolving situations of food deprivation for people and families.
Social Emergency Accommodation Centre (SEAC)
An emergency social support response that offers temporary and urgent accommodation for people or families in crisis, with access to food, hygiene, psychological support and referral to other services.
Social Emergency Accommodation Centre 2.0 (SEAC 2.0)
An emergency response comprising an emergency reception centre and an outreach team, included in a consortium of local entities, with the aim of creating territorial synergies so that, by pooling efforts, they are enabled to provide a more integrated and higher-quality response. The Outreach Team is a multidisciplinary technical team which, as part of the SEAC 2.0 technical team, intervenes beyond the physical space of the centre, going to meet the person where they are (for example, street, own home, police station, etc.), assessing and responding to the person’s or family’s most pressing needs.
Psychosocial Care and Support Centre
A social response, delivered through a service, aimed at people infected with and/or ill with HIV, designed for reception, support and daytime occupation.
Home Support Service
A social response, delivered from a facility, consisting of providing care and services to families and/or people in their own home, in a situation of physical and/or psychological dependency and who cannot, temporarily or permanently, ensure the satisfaction of their basic needs and/or the performance of instrumental activities of daily living.
Residential Home for People with HIV/AIDS
A social response, delivered in a facility, designed to accommodate people infected with HIV/AIDS who are experiencing family breakdown and socio-economic disadvantage.
Direct Intervention Team
A social response delivered through a service made up of intervention units working with people with addictive behaviours, their families and communities affected by drug addiction.
Social Reintegration Apartment
A social response, delivered in a facility, which aims to provide temporary accommodation for people with addictive behaviours who, after leaving treatment units, prisons, educational centres or other justice-sector establishments, experience difficulties in social, family, school or professional reintegration.
Support Service
A response delivered by a service consisting of multidisciplinary technical teams, preferably including victim support officers, who ensure, in an integrated manner and with continuity, the reception, support and personalised referral of victims, with a view to their protection.
Shelter
A social response, delivered in a facility, consisting of temporary accommodation for victims of violence, accompanied or not by minor children, who cannot, for safety reasons, remain in their usual residences.
Home-based Childcare Support
A service provided by people overseen by an institution who, on their own account and in return for payment, travel to the home to provide individual care for children, for a certain period of time, outside the hours of traditional facilities and according to the family’s needs.
Outpatient Support
A social response, delivered through a service/facility, intended to support people with disabilities from the age of 7, their families and community professionals, which develops assessment, guidance and therapeutic and socio-educational intervention activities promoted by multidisciplinary teams.
Braille Press
A support service for children, young people and adults with visual impairment, intended to produce, adapt and publish books in Braille, to support the teaching/learning process, as well as cultural and recreational activities.
Guide Dog School
A facility where training, education and guide dog training activities are carried out to support a blind person.
