Open competition to qualify professionals of the National System of Early Intervention in Childhood

The contest is ongoing PEOPLE-2025-21 It aims to support actions for the qualification of professionals of the National System for Early Intervention in Childhood (SNIPI). This competition is co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and the Portuguese State, with a total allocation of 600 thousand euros, of which 510 thousand euros correspond to European funding. The support falls under the priority “More and better access to quality services”, under the typology “Qualification and specialisation of the SNIPI”, and aims to strengthen the technical capacity of professionals working with children up to the age of six with changes in functions or at risk of developmental delay.
Who can apply?
- higher education entities governed by public law (including those of a foundational nature);
- Entities governed by private non-profit law, established as educational cooperatives.
The final recipients are SNIPI professionals, children and their families.
This initiative contributes to:
- Single Strategy for the Rights of Children and Youth 2025-2035
- National Strategy for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2025
- National Child Guarantee Plan 2022-2030
It thus reinforces the commitment of PEOPLE 2030 to ensuring equitable access to quality public services and promoting inclusion from an early age.
Deadline and submission:
Applications must be submitted by 11 December 2025 at 18:00, through the Funds Desk. It is recommended not to leave for the last few days, to avoid embarrassment in the process.
Clarifications
On December 10, at 3 p.m., the People's Management Authority 2030 will hold a clarification session on the submission of applications to the Call for Applications People-2025-21.
