PARES 3.0 – Reception houses for children and young people

Deadline extended until 17 November 2026, by Order No º 10870/2026 of 2 September 2006, allows interested entities to submit until the new date applications for PARES 3.0, with the main objective of supporting investment projects/works to requalify and improve equipment for children and young people, namely the Reception Houses.
O Order No º 7230/2026 of 8 June 2012, approved the opening of applications for the Extension Programme of the Social Equipment Network (PARES 3.0), aimed at the requalification and adaptation of Reception Houses for Children and Youth in mainland Portugal. The measure is part of the Single Strategy for the Rights of Children and Youth 2025-2030 and aims to promote more qualified, safe and needs-centred reception responses for children and young people, focusing on family environments and individualised care. The tender has an overall allocation of 11 million euros and supports projects to remodel, adapt installations and replace materials and equipment in social responses already in operation, without increasing installed capacity. Applications are made through the Social Security portal. Public funding can reach up to 80% of the eligible investment, with priority being given to projects that ensure greater own co-financing.
The application period started on 15 June 2026 and now closes on 17 November 2026.
The initiative is aimed at entities that promote the adaptation of Temporary Reception Centres, Child and Youth Homes and Reception Houses to the new legal and functional requirements of this social response.
