The National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P. (INR), is receiving applications for the Program of Interventions in Housing, in Simplified Regime, financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).

Under the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Law No 38/2004 of 18 August 2004, which states that it is for the State to adopt specific measures necessary to ensure the right of access to qualifications, Notice No 10/C03-i02/2024 provides for the improvement of the conditions of access to and mobility of their dwelling and/or common parts of their residential building.

The person with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 60%, attested by Medical Certificate of Multipurpose Disability (AMIM), who wants to see his permanent housing (own or rented), or common parts of his building accessible, can go to the City Council of his area of residence to submit an application for support for the improvement of accessibility.

For example, accessible household appliances, lift platforms, lift chairs, works to improve the accessibility of sanitary facilities, among others, are financed, provided that they unequivocally improve the accessibility in the use and enjoyment of your home.
