Order No º 4862/2026 of 15 April - Updates financial support for pre-school for the 2025-2026 school year

In the development of Law No. º 5/97, of 10 February, and the rules contained in Decree-Law No. º 147/97, of 11 June, as well as the principles and commitments assumed in the Cooperation Pact for Social Solidarity, pre-school education constitutes a strategic area of intervention, which involves the commitment to provide technical and financial support to private social solidarity institutions or equivalent under the agreements and protocols in force.
With the publication of these diplomas, the network of pre-school education began to have a national perspective, encompassing public educational institutions, and the solidarity network, distributing the model in two components, the educational (legal) and the socio-educational (family support).
The Commitment to Cooperation for the Social and Solidarity Sector, for the biennium 2025-2026, provides for the strengthening of the partnership between the Government and the Social Partners in strategic areas and the recognition of the decisive role of pre-school education in promoting school success and the quality of learning, reflected in all levels of education and determines the need to continue to promote the expansion and empowerment of the solidarity network of pre-school education.
The Minister of Education, Science and Innovation and the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security hereby determine the amounts of pre-school financial support for the school year 2025-2026.
